About

the artist

I was raised in a rural town in central Maine where I dipped my toe into everything that I could; I loved school, all athletics, performing art, visual art…all of it! I found passion as I studied Studio Art, Women’s Studies, and Islamic Studies at Hobart & William Smith Colleges in Upstate New York. I recently relocated from Maine, where I was an art educator for the last three years, to Raleigh, North Carolina for a new adventure!

As someone who likes to be busy, I found very little could ground me like my art could. In an ever-changing, fast-paced world, I strive to find moments of peace within the environments around me through a plein air style of painting; I’m inspired by moments that often go unnoticed and unappreciated.

I believe art has the ability to center and re-center individuals and communities to a mission for peace and connection.
